FIND OUT MORE ABOUT BECOMING A ROCHESTER AREA U.S.COAST GUARD AUXILIARIST
Joining the the Auxiliary ("CGAUX") can be immensely rewarding. Our ranks are filled with men and women from all walks of life. We have plumbers and we have PhD's! Many of us still work, others are retired. All share a common interest in volunteering, a love of things nautical, working with the active forces (the "Gold Side") of the U.S. Coast Guard, and lots more. In truth our interests and our motivation are as varied as the thousands of us who participate.
Getting started is easy. You can go to our contact page and check out the websites of our six Flotillas, and probabaly more important to you, their location. The first thing you will probably do is sit in on one of their meetings and meet the guys and gals. If you would like us to get in touch with you, drop us an email with your contact information and any questions or comments you may have. Just email the Public Education Staff Officer Larry O'Heron. If you prefer to old fashioned way, write to USCGAUX, 520 River Street, Rochester, NY 14612. You can also leave a message at (585)663-7115
